LBS Contributes RM150,000 as Building Fund for Surau Al-Hidayah @ Bandar Saujana PutraPosted Date : 15 Sep 09
16 August 2009, Selangor – Hundreds of residents in Bandar Saujana Putra have witnessed the historic ground-breaking ceremony of the Surau Al-Hidayah at Jalan SP7/2, Bandar Saujana Putra, Selangor today.
Guest of Honour and distinguished guests were welcomed by the “BSP Kompang Team”
Y.A.D. Raja Dato’ Uzair Bin Tengku Zainon Rashid Shah, Orang Besar Daerah Kuala Langat, as the Guest of Honour officiated the auspicious occasion and delivered his keynote address.
Distinguished guests present and witnessed the event include ADUN Telok Datuk, Y.B. Phillip Tan Choon Swee, Chairman of BSP Residence Association and Committee of Surau Al-Hidayah, Encik Shamsuddin bin Salleh, Vice Chairman of LBS Bina Group Berhad (“LBS”), Dato’ Kamaruddin bin Abdul Ghani, Executive Director, Mr. Chia Lok Yuen, Independent Directors, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri (Dr) Haji Abu Hassan bin Haji Omar and Maj. Jen. (B) Dato’ Mohamed Isa bin Che Kak, Committee Members of JAIS Kuala Langat and representatives from Majlis Daerah Kuala Langat.
In conjunction with this commendable event, LBS contributed Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred and Fifty Thousand (RM150,000.00) as the building fund of Surau Al-Hidayah. Tan Sri Abu Hassan who represents LBS Group was invited to present the mock cheque to Raja Encik Shamsuddin who represents the Committee of Surau Al-Hidayah.

Dato’ Kamaruddin delivered his speech
Vice Chairman of LBS, Dato’ Kamaruddin delivered his speech on the benefits of the new place for preserving spirituality in the modern day society. He said “In embracing the concept of corporate citizenship, LBS has been committed to participating in community affairs and showing its care for people in the community.” He hopes that more activities will be carried out by the residents in BSP to help strengthening relationships of the residents in the BSP neighboughood.
The ground breaking ceremony was replete with white gloves, helmets and brand new hoes. Raja Dato’ Uzair shuffled the first hoe of earth at the very site of Surau Al-Hidayah and followed by four other distinguished guests. There was even a short but exciting Kompang performance that added a celebratory feel to this historic moment.

Buffet Lunch
With sponsors from LBS and Committee of Surau Al-Hidayah, lucky draws were slotted in between the programmes of the day. The event ended with a buffet lunch which was prepared by the BSP residents.
This ceremony was jointly organized by LBS and the Committee of Surau Al-Hidayah.
